A vehicle wrap is an automotive aftermarket practice of completely or partially covering your vehicle’s original paint with vinyl wrap. Vehicle wraps are done with vinyl materials (think of it like a large decal) that conforms to the shape of your vehicle. They can be done in solid colors as “color change” or can have digitally printed designs on the vinyl to give your vehicle a personalized look or commercial advertising. Vehicle wraps can be any shape & size to truly give a vehicle your own custom spin. A full wrap covers the entire surface of the vehicle. A partial wrap covers only a portion of the vehicle and utilizes the vehicle’s paint as the backdrop for a completed design.
If your wrap is taken care of properly they can last for seven years or more in certain cases. However, a wrap that lacks the proper care and cleaning will see fading or crackling before that seventh year (no different than paint). With M.O. Graphics, you can expect a lifetime of about 5-7 years for color change wraps, but many customers have had their wraps on for longer.

Yes, of course! Hand washing and waxing is actually recommended when you have a vinyl wrap. But to be safe, do note that certain materials may require special care instructions such as only washing with a touchless wash or not power wash. Turnaround time can be as short as 5-7 business days depending on the complexity of the project. We prefer to have the car for a week, if possible, to take extra precaution and attention to detail. Stripes, graphics, and accent pieces can typically be completed within a day. Keep in mind, we are a fulling functioning vinyl wrap, PPF, window tint, ceramic coat, and print shop; scheduling times can vary. Please let us know ahead of time if you are on a deadline or need to expedite your install; we will factor this in as best we can.

Any of our films can be installed on chrome, but the finish will look slightly different than if it were left completely unprotected. At M.O. Graphics we recommend applying a small swatch to the desired surface so you can see what it looks like before deciding if you’d like your entire vehicle to be protected by an XPEL film.
We do not recommend wrapping a vehicle with imperfections. While most probably imagine protective vinyl film being able to hide the vehicle’s imperfections, that is not the case. Because of our method of vinyl film application, it will actually highlight the imperfections of the car and won’t last as long.
It is highly unlikely for paint protection film to harm OEM paint. Paint systems used on modern assembly lines today produce a minimum bond strength of 16 MPa and maximum of 25 MPa between the panel and the paint depending on color, iridescence and the system used.
